Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake have done 3 versions of the history of rap (I think the latest one was done last week). Part two is by far my favorite. And I wanted to share. At least 40% of these songs I'm pretty sure I've either danced to or sang really loudly with my college roommate, Jessica. Some of y'all may have even been privileged enough to see our "hey ya" dance.
I love that rap music brings us things like the stanky leg, the dougie, soulja boy, air force ones, ghost ridin' the whip....the list goes on and on.
I had a dance party by myself today, even though I've thrown up every night for the last three nights -just a little bug, that I think I dougied out of my system today...
that is so awesome! just today i saw pictures of dance parties with you 5 years ago at ktv and in our old apartments and missed them! and i completely condone a dance party by yourself :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't the "Hey ya" dance the one that got the "front desk guy" at the dorm to call you and ask you to quiet down? ;-)
ReplyDeleteturns out the "front desk guy" was just some creeper with binoculars in the dorm next to us.....that also happened to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship and dance offs.
ReplyDeleteand shelley, while i was having a dance party by myself today, i kept trying to figure out how i could work in a dance party the weekend after thanksgiving or at christmas - i'm just not sure if the jungs will be down (not you and jarred, but the sr. and mrs.)
Sweet memories! Our dances were epic. Just ask our spanish class. Hehe.
